1. Call for Papers - IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing -
Upcoming Special Issue – Remote Sensing for Major Disaster Prevention,
Monitoring and Assessment - Extended deadline: May 1, 2006
2.    GISCorps (http://www.giscorps.org). If you are a highly skilled GIS
or mapping professional and want to volunteer as a hands-on consultant to
help those in need then consider joining the GISCorps.
3.    Call for Abstracts - "Interdisciplinary Workshop on Management of
Earthquake Risks" will take place at the Swiss Federal Institute of
