(Z_GIS) at Salzburg University together with the Universidad Pontificia de
Salamanca and the European Satellite Center announce an upcoming GMOSSS
Summer School to be held from 02 - 09 September 2007 in Madrid (Spain).

5.    2007 Mini-Projects Announcement by the Japan Aerospace Exploration
Agency (JAXA) and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).

6.    Check out and participate in the Web-based survey designed to
evaluate the current state of adoption/implementation of technology among
disaster management practitioners:

7.    8th UNGIWG Meeting – 28 – 30 November 2007 – Bangkok, Thailand.  For
those that will be participating in the next UNGIWG meeting in Bangkok we
would like to confirm that we are also planning the 4th UN-wide Meeting on
the Use of Space Technologies for Emergency Response and Humanitarian
Assistance on the 27th November 2007, also in Bangkok, Thailand.

8.    International Charter Space and Major Disasters – The Charter was
activated a total of 19 times during the first half of 2007, contributing
to providing satellite imagery to support emergency response activities.

9.  2007 International Geohazards Week in ESRIN, Frascati, Rome (Italy) on
5-9 November 2007. The registration is now open

10. VI Jornadas de Educación en Percepción Remota en el Ámbito del Mercosur
y I Uruguayas de Educación en Percepción Remota - 22 y 24 de Noviembre de

11. Convocatoria a becas NUFFIC 2008 para estudiar en el Centro de
Levantamientos Aeroespaciales y Aplicaciones SIG para el Desarrollo
Sostenible de los Recursos Naturales (CLAS), Centro perteneciente a la
Universidad Mayor de San Simón en la ciudad de Cochabamba, Bolivia.
