1.    The upcoming 50th Session of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of
Outer Space will consider the proposed 2008 – 2009 Plan of Work of the
United Nations Platform for Space-based Information for Disaster Management
and Emergency Response (SPIDER), which is being implemented as a Programme
of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs.

2.    The May 2007 IGOS Geohazards newsletter is available. It can be

3.    2007 International Geohazards Week in ESRIN, Frascati, Rome (Italy)
on 5-9 November 2007. The registration is now open
