Dear Colleagues,

There have been many many maps produced to support the emergency relief
efforts for Myanmar. There are 90 available maps which can be downloaded
from ReliefWeb.

Check out:

Importantly, UN-SPIDER facilitated the cooperation between the Center for
Satellite-based Crisis Information (ZKI), from the German Aerospace Center
- DLR), the World Food Programme (WFP), and ITHACA (Information Technology
for Humanitarian Assistance, Cooperation and Action). This contributed to
both ITHACA and ZKI producing several maps using the cutting edge radar
satellites TerraSAR-X (DLR/Infoterra), ALOS/PALSAR (JAXA), and COSMO SkyMED
(ISA).

Additionally Google Earth is innovating the way information is being
gathered and shared among the emergency response teams.

Finally we would like to inform that the National Disaster Reduction Center
of China (NDRCC) has activated the International Charter Space and Major
Disasters for the earthquake in China. We will keep you updated on
available maps produced by NDRCC as well as maps produced by other relevant
organisations.

Regards

David
