   Estimados Colegas,


   El Programa UN-SPIDER tiene el gusto de informarles que estará llevando
   a cabo el Taller Internacional UN-SPIDER: "Aplicaciones Espaciales en
   la Gestión para la Reducción del Riesgo y para la Respuesta en caso de
   Desastres" en la ciudad de Quito, Ecuador,  del 29 de Septiembre al 02
   de Octubre del año en curso.  Este taller constituye el primer evento
   de este tipo que lleva a cabo UN-SPIDER en América Latina y tiene como
   meta sentar las bases para su programa de actividades en esta región.


   Adjunto encontrarán la Nota Informativa sobre este taller y la
   solicitud de participación.  Esperando contar con su valiosa

   The UN-SPIDER Programme is pleased to announce that it will be
   conducting the International Workshop: "Space Applications in the
   context of Risk Management and Disaster Response" on 29 September - 02
   October 2009 in Quito, Ecuador.   This workshop constitutes the first
   event of this type conducted by UN-SPIDER in Latin America with the
   goal of establishing the basis for its programme of activities in this
   region.


   Please find enclosed the Information Note for this workshop, including
   the application form.   The Note is drafted in Spanish language, as the
   event will be held using this language.
